Smoke-free Campuses: Briefing Note

The Campus Health team prepared this briefing note on smoke-free campuses and presented this to the UBC Wellbeing Steering Committee (Feb 9, 2018) and UBC Executive (May 9, 2018). The briefing note provided information about the increasing number of Canadian universities and colleges with 100% smoke-free campuses, recent recommendations regarding smoke-free campuses, facts about smoking, current activities related to smoking on campus, and the availability of cessation resources. There was support for broad consultations with the campus community to gather views about a smoke-free campus.
